We’re considering doing an escorted tour but worry we’ll be the youngest on the trip. Is a package tour suitable for the independent traveller who’s nowhere near grey nomad stage?

Expert Answer:

John Boulding, managing director, www.insightvacations.com, writes: "One of the biggest trends we’ve noticed is the average passenger age on tours is dropping. Recent research shows that more than 25 per cent of travellers are under 49, challenging the common belief that escorted touring is only for retired people. In fact, it is fast becoming the choice of busy professionals."
