The Gourmet Traveller Travel Awards, now in their sixth year and proudly presented in association with Nespresso, recognise the best Australia offers in the way of unforgettable holiday moments – from the finest hotels and resorts to life-changing outback and indigenous experiences, sybaritic spas, wine-touring and much else besides. In 2012 we’ve broadened our scope even further to acknowledge the nation’s favourite golf resorts and weekend destinations, and to chart our favourite stopover cities, too.
As always, our expert panel of travel writers, editors and industry professionals gathered to review their top experiences of the past year, and from their recommendations, we’ve compiled shortlists of four finalists in each of 13 categories. Now it’s your turn to get involved and help determine the best of the best.
From Monday 26 March, we need you to vote to determine the winners in each category. Last year there were more than 25,000 individual votes cast for our finalists. In 2012, to help inspire your participation and wanderlust, we’ve teamed with those savvy boutique hotel specialists Mr & Mrs Smith to offer an irresistible prize of a trip for two to Shanghai.
